Housing Trust

The Housing Trust was established by legislation in 1990 by the Montgomery County Commission to provide a flexible source of financial resources to address unmet housing needs of low-and moderate-income households in Montgomery County , Ohio . The Housing Trust is funded by a special appropriation from a one-half cent sales tax collected for affordable housing, economic development, and arts and cultural programs.

Housing Trust investment is designed to be gap financing for project affordability and long-term success. The role of the Housing Trust is to supplement, not to displace, private sector investment.
